Darren Tang with a bowler at The Toronto Experience

LAB 01The idea

Why we did it

Bring the pros to the 6ix.

Toronto bowlers rarely get time with PBA Tour players. In 2024 we set out to change that by bringing Darren Tang and Chris Via to the city for a day of coaching.

We ran everything: booking the pros and the bowling centre, sponsors and ball giveaways, sign-ups, marketing and the event day itself. It went well enough that we came back bigger in 2025.

LAB 02What we ran

Two years, two events

A.
2024: our first clinic
On August 10, 2024, Darren and Chris coached bowlers at Planet Bowl, followed by a meet-and-greet. Strike-Mor Pro Shop and Erwin Magnate Real Estate sponsored a ball giveaway.
B.
2025: The Toronto Experience
Rebuilt from bowler feedback into a two-day event at Kennedy Bowl on August 9 and 10, with an EFX jersey for every bowler and ball giveaways.
C.
Marketing that filled the lanes
Short videos from Darren and Chris, a launch countdown and a last-call push on Instagram. From an account of about 130 followers, our event posts reached more than 177,000 views.

Sign-ups on our own platform
Bowlers signed up at pinpointbowl.com/events, so we had the full list, slots and sizes sorted before anyone reached the lanes.
E.
Partners who made it bigger
Kennedy Bowl, 900 Pro Shop, EFX, TV Bowling Supply and 300 Club backed the 2025 event, with jerseys, prizes and ball giveaways for the bowlers.
